The Global Initiative is building regional feasibility investigations and reoperation demonstration projects, in China and West Africa, with plans to subsequently expand into Brazil (with The Nature Conservancy), Pakistan, and Eastern and Southern Africa. We are currently developing new components in the Mekong River Basin in Southeast Asia and the Krishna Basin in India. The West African components in the Ghanaian Volta Basin and Nigerian Hadejia-Jama'are-Komadugu-Yobe Basin are fully organized and ready for execution.
